Last updated: October 26, 2026. My First Hug is run by My Cookies Closet of Van Nuys, California. This page explains what information we collect when you use myfirsthug.com, how we use it, and the choices you have.
What we collect
When you place an order, we collect your name, email address and shipping address so we can fulfill it. Payment is processed securely by Stripe — your card details go straight to Stripe, and we never see or store full card numbers.
When you contact us or join our email list, we collect your email address and the contents of your message.
Automatically, we collect standard browsing information — browser type, device information, IP address, pages visited and time on site — through cookies and similar technologies.
Your wishlist and bag live in your own browser on your device. We don't run accounts for shoppers, so there's no My First Hug account password or profile for us to hold.
How we use your information

Who we share it with
We share data with trusted service providers only as needed to run the store: Stripe for payment processing, CJ Dropshipping and carriers for order fulfillment (name, shipping address and product details), and analytics and advertising providers such as Google Analytics, Meta and TikTok for anonymized usage measurement and cookie-based ad targeting. We do not sell your personal information.
Cookies
We use cookies for shopping-bag and wishlist functionality, analytics, and advertising. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though some features — like your bag and wishlist — may not work properly without them.
Children's privacy
My First Hug is made for teens ages 13–19 shopping with a parent's permission; it is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, and a parent or guardian completes every purchase at checkout. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Data security
We use industry-standard encryption (TLS/SSL) for data in transit. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information with reasonable safeguards.
Your rights
Depending on where you live — including California residents under the CCPA — you may have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, request its correction or deletion, and opt out of marketing communications.
